    For children in grades K-3, L'Art de dire is a great introduction to learning French. Detailed lesson plans, reproducible teaching aids and a totally oral approach make this book ideal for teaching French to children who are not yet ready to learn to read in French.

  • L'Art de dire for Homeschool or Classroom

    This paid course makes the full teaching resources of L'Art de direJ'étudie avec Mimi, and Nallenart Wordless Books available online for classroom and homeschool teachers.

  • L'Art de lire combines beginning conversational French with an introduction to French phonics, enabling children to read simple stories in French from the first lesson. Includes verb conjugations, grammar, and conversational French.
  • Free Teacher Resources for L'Art de lire

    This free course provides French teachers with an abundance of supplemental resources to use with L'Art de lire in either a classroom or homeschool setting from grades 4-8.

  • L'Art de lire 1 is designed for beginners who haven't necessarily begun formal studies of French. In terms of phonics, it focusses on the vowel sounds and gives an introduction to conversational French. Grade 4 is a good recommended starting point. See the FAQ Pages for more information.

    These resources are provided for the first level of L'Art de lire. New customers are able to enrol for a $35 fee, payable through Paypal.

  • L'Art de lire Level 2 is suitable for beginning French students who are reading well in English. The grammar taught in this course corresponds to the Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations for Core French for grade four and it is designed to follow Level 1.
  • L'Art de lire Level 3 is suitable for French students who have an introductory knowledge of conversational French, verb conjugation, and beginning phonics. The grammar taught in this course corresponds to the Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations for Core French for grade five and it is designed to follow Level 2.
  • L'Art de lire Level 4 is suitable for French students who have completed L'Art de lire Level 3, grade five French in Ontario, or the equivalent. The grammar taught in this course corresponds to the Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations for Core French for grade six.
  • L'Art de lire Level 5 is suitable for French students who have completed L'Art de lire Level 4, grade six French in Ontario, or the equivalent. The grammar taught in this course corresponds to the Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations for Core French for grade seven.
  • L'Art de lire Level 6 is suitable for French students who have completed L'Art de lire Level 5, grade seven French in Ontario, or the equivalent. The grammar taught in this course corresponds to the Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations for Core French for grade eight.
  • L'Art d'écrire 1 Preview

    L’Art d'écrire 1 follows the Core French Curriculum Guidelines of the Ontario Canada Ministry of Education for Grade 9, FSF1D.

    In addition to grammar lessons, vocabulary and exercises, the content of the course is developed around a theme of self-discovery. Students are challenged to examine their likes and dislikes, the uniqueness of their personalities, and their hopes and dreams for the future.

    L’Art d'écrire 1 also introduces students to classics of French literature in the form of the play Cyrano de Bergerac and the novels of Jules Verne.

    This free course gives teachers the opportunity to preview the content of L’Art d'écrire 1. 

  • L'Art d'écrire 1 for Classroom and Homeschool

    This course provides a full year's subscription to all the student and teacher resources necessary for L'Art d'écrire 1, including reproducible student worktext pages, audio files, answer keys, tests, weighting charts, and curriculum guidelines.

  • Drama for Children presents games and ideas suitable for a number of venues such as schools, churches, and playgroups. Some of these games might be familiar. All are a great deal of fun and work well to develop the skills of the children practicing them. An appropriate age level has been suggested for each activity.

    Please note that some games require either props or advance preparation. Also included are three short presentations that can be used for showing off the children’s newly acquired skills.
